We have to make the decision to stand on the Word of God. We must proclaim it & allow it to take hold in such a way that we only see victory in every situation.

Every suffering that tears you in pieces, is God’s opportunity to put you back together, better. Paul reminded us that “God works all things for our good.”

I was thinking about a hunt from last season. I harvested one of my best bucks. It was about 4:00 p.m. when the buck came through behind me. It was well before dark, and I was hunting with a crossbow out of a rifle stand. I did it because the stand was in a fence line that deer liked to travel. I was on the phone when he came through. I hung up, grabbed my crossbow, Continue Reading

Psalm 27:13-14 says, “I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and-—take heart and wait for the Lord.

I take refuge in this passage of the word of God. The second half of Isaiah 40 is largely focused on the greatness of our Lord, and concludes with a very encouraging passage.

In a world that encourages people to do everything themselves and it focus is on individual achievement—this is a very encouraging passage.Continue Reading…..

New Financial You in 2022

Remember the excitement you felt on December 31, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. as the New Year was approaching? Then that excitement increased even more once you began counting down from 10 to 1. Who said that feeling has to stop? You have 11 more months ahead of you in 2022. Keep the celebration going by following these tips. BY : Al Riddick

You weren’t expecting that were you? Most people do not pursue financial goals because they assume it will involve pinching pennies, not having fun, or only eating rice and beans for dinner. Wrong! Focusing on how you would feel after achieving a financial goal will make the journey that much sweeter. Imagine the feeling of accomplishment, not to mention security, you would have if the balance in your savings, emergency fund, or retirement accounts increased after making some simple modifications to your daily behavior. Doesn’t that thought feel good? Continue Reading…..

I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.”Gen. 3:15 BY: Pastor John McCurdy

There is nothing but a MASSIVE amount of Good News with the first coming of Christ, which we celebrate at Christmas. It is not too early to start talking about this as we come into this Christmas season.

This is a 7-part series to magnify many of the events and the many astounding pieces of what went on around Jesus’ birth. Most of us have not spent time treating this story as the Word of God, meditating on it like we would other verses in the Bible.  Continue Reading….

Following Directions

There are just some things where details really matter. I have the opportunity each semester to teach undergrad students. One of their assignments is to do a summary of a particular chapter in an assigned book.By: Gary Miller

The weatherman said our temps were ten degrees below normal for this time of the year. I discovered he was right as I sat shivering in a treestand on opening morning. I brushed off his claim because, well you know, always being accurate in that job is not a prerequisite. I know they try, and I know they can’t completely know, but let’s just say I’m glad the standards for heart surgeons are not this hit-or-miss. … Continue Reading…

Building Intimacy with God

One of the most fulfilling relationships you can develop is a relationship with the Lord. Oftentimes we work hard on building relationships with one another but never take the time to build a strong one with the Lord. BY: Rhonie McBerry

I’m talking about closeness with God where you feel open enough to be totally honest in expressing your thoughts to Him. It’s possible! Intimacy with God doesn’t just arise from nowhere and like any relationship it must be cultivated and developed through time spent together.

Prayer is the most enduring way to gain a close relationship with the Lord because it is the form of communication between you and God. Jesus closed the gap that divided us and now we may…. Continue Reading…

Building Intimacy with God, Maintaining Hope and Receiving Victory

This is not just another prayer book with instructions and details on how to improve your prayer life by focusing on a formula of how you’re supposed to pray 10% of this or 50% of that and you’ve got it. Instead, this book of prayers is meant to unleash such a desire in you that prayer will become like second nature. God’s love for us is so great and He wants us to spend time with Him in prayer as part of a lifestyle with Him.

Who is the center of your universe?

There’s a sign in our department that I’ve passed many times and I’ve never paid attention to it until the other day while waiting on a patient. I started to read the sign and at the bottom, this question was posed…who is the center of your universe? BY: Rhonie McBerry

The question brought me immediately to my answer to that question. Now it can be easy to think of family and other things as being the center but for me, Jesus is the center. Without Him, the universe wouldn’t be upheld. These scriptures make it clear:

Hebrews 1:1-3, He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand… Continue Reading…

The Distinguishing Ear of God

I was taken aback the other day during a morning turkey hunt. The rain had persisted all night and into the early morning hours. It wasn’t until about 8:30 that the sun broke through the clouds. By: Gary Miller

It seemed every living thing had been waiting with anticipation for that hour. The rain had allowed the early risers to sleep in, but the sun sounded the alarm for all to get up. The sounds that morning were too numerous to describe. Each creature began its communication without waiting its turn. It sounded like one big cacophony without having any rhyme or reason. I didn’t notice that morning how each sound was different, Continue Reading…

Dealing with Rejection

Rejection is one of those negative experiences life seems to toss at us to keep things interesting. Only, instead of making things interesting, rejection often makes us feel bad about ourselves. At its most basic, rejection is the dismissal or refusal of an idea. It is synonymous with disapproval, negation, ….. Continue Reading…

Whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.- 1 Corinthians 10:31 BY:Kofi Bismarck

Putting God first is realizing it’s all about Him. Everything in our lives is to be directed to Him, His kingdom, and His glory. Proverbs 3:6 affirms it, “In everything you do, Put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success.” Your every breath is to go back to Him. Your every thought is to be for Him. Everything is about Him(God). Is every thought of yours for His glory? Is everything you watch, listen, and talk about for His glory? Continue Reading…

And the LORD said unto me, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A plumb line. Then said the Lord, Behold, I will set a plumb line in the midst of my people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more..AMOS 7:7-8 KJV BY: Deacon Sean Provost

There are a whole lot of standards in the world today but when the pandemic hit, these standards were shaken. God said there would come a great shaking. The problem with all these standards is that they are built on weak foundations, personal opinions, and lies that come straight from the pits of hell. Furthermore, the only standard that matters is God’s standard but America has left God out, unconcerned about God’s agenda or what HE would have us to do. Continue Reading…

Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. Psalm 103 1 BY: Pastor Geneva Miller

This exhortation to bless the Lord often gets watered down in the routine of religious exercise. Bless the Lord. It is so frequently used and given as a directive that we forget that it is a privilege and a command, not a suggestion or something to be taken so lightly and casually. Bless the Lord. I am telling you today by the spirit of the living God that there is a mandate on the people of God to bless Him, Continue Reading…

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. (Phil 2:3-4) BY: Gary Miller

I once played golf. I don’t mean I played golf once, but I once played golf. I played a lot. I played for probably twenty years until I realized that I was paying good money to come home mad. As long as I knew I was bad, I had no problem playing for the fun of it. … Continue Reading

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not to thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 By:TruFiyah

If you have gone through your own fiery trials and hardships and you’ve come to realize that God is faithful, loyal, and true, you have something to offer others. By:Rick Pilat

O righteous Father, even though the world does not know you, I know you, and these know that you have sent me. [cf. John 17:25].BY:Kofi Bismarck

Righteousness is an attribute of moral purity to God alone [cf. John 17:25]. We are made righteous because of what Jesus did on the cross. We ourselves are not righteous, but God has made us in Christ. When God looks at us, He does not see us as we are; He sees only Christ. ..Continue reading…

Mental health issues are a very broad subject, and cannot be treated singularly. All mental health issues are not created equal, and many of these issues were born from trauma. BY:C. J Greene

Mental Health has become the buzzword this past decade. “True prayer is neither a mere mental exercise nor a vocal performance. It is far deeper than that – it is a spiritual transaction with the Creator of Heaven and Earth” BY:C. J Greene

We allow ourselves to go as far as we are willing to go. Our capacity for anything is dependent on the level of which you empower yourself on a consistent basis. When it comes to prayer, many times we rely on the words we say rather than the capacity in which we have been given by God. Continue Reading….

God is bigger than ‘lights of fear and rejection’ and He’s greater than ‘lights of worry, doubt, ‘can’t’ and past failures.’ BY: Jeannine Bradley

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1(KJV) BY: Deacon Sean Provost

If God can do a miracle for a little butterfly, then surely your time of flight is coming soon. Hold on. Don’t give up. By:TruFiyah

The road gets hard sometimes but keep your head to the sky. Remember, you may face hard times, but you’re as tough as geraniums! By:TruFiyah

It’s funny the pulpits the Lord will choose to preach His best sermons of encouragement on, even outside of the church, if we are open and receptive to His voice and leading.  I’ve gotten deep and life-changing revelation in my garden, on nature walks and from a tiny, little butterfly who decided to make my front porch his dressing room. Continue reading…

I believe in a world where we can get easily stressed over things that we can not control, it is very difficult to understand how to manage or even…. DEAL! “Unless a man is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” – John 3:3 BY:Elder Ron Mosby

“Lord, if it is you, then tell me to come out to you on the water.” Matthew 14:29 BY:Pastor Vanessa McQueen

“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away” (Matthew 24:35 KJV) By:Min. Frederick Dawson

There is nothing better than the feeling when you get something new. As a child, I recall going to the store with my parents, and while in the store, mom or dad would say, “Get you something.” Wow! What excitement I felt! It was a feeling that I cannot quite express.  I was overwhelmed with such a high level of exultation.  It did not matter how big or small my new possession would be. All that mattered is that it was new! Continue Reading..

“This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus.” – 1 John 4:17. BY: Pastor John McCurdy

Plain as it can be, there is nothing more important in life for the Christian to realize and walk in than the Love of God.  Both of the two great commandments are all about Love.
Sounds so basic, doesn’t it.  Except, too many Christians don’t realize it and it becomes a distant concept.  Our revelation of it can be limited and it’s not in our experience near where it should be. I am not trying to make anyone feel bad.  Continue Reading..

THE MAN AT THE POOL OF BETHESDA- John 5:1-15 . By:Kene Emmanuel

LEARNING TO WALK THROUGH TIGHT SPACES – Matthew 7:13-14 BY:Pastor Geneva Miller

Included in all of the many teachings in the Sermon on the Mount is this one called The Narrow Gate.  Jesus is very clear in two short verses that there is a way that is right and a way that is wrong, and as God offered to the children of Israel in Deuteronomy 30, Jesus is saying choose life, choose the right way, but you may go it alone. As parents there is a lesson we have to teach over and over again;  everybody who surrounds you is not your friend.  Everyone who has your ear does not have your back.  Jesus, our Daddy teaches us this lesson as well.  Continue Reading…

The Word of God is the most important thing in the Christian’s life -(John 1:1; Rev. 19:13) BY:John McCurdy

That title is not this author speaking just towards himself.  This author wants YOU to be saying and declaring this for yourself, for this to be your own personal experience.  This can be your actual experience.  It ought to be.  It is God’s will and provision for you and me. The Word of God is the most important thing in the Christian’s life.  It is the story of God and Man.  It is the will of God revealed to us.  It is God speaking to us. It is the means by which we obtain Faith, which is needed to carry out every single victory in the Christian life.  Continue Reading….

“For Freedom Christ has Set us Free!” -Galatians 5:1 BY:C. J Greene

Meaning and sometimes clarity: Many times in our lives we are searching for something that will give us a sense of purpose and a reason to continue moving forward in this world. I think we overlook how important meaning and clarity is to our lives. Meaning is how we interpret what is happening to us, around us, in us, and in those that surround us. Meaning how we conclude and connect the dots, and figure out how it affects us on a deeper level than what has transpired on a surface level. 3 Way’s meaning is impactful to our lives.
