We have to make the decision to stand on the Word of God. We must proclaim it & allow it to take hold in such a way that we only see victory in every situation.
All IN GOD’S TIMING
“Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.” Psalms 37:7 By:Min. Frederick Dawson
In most instances, we do not mind waiting for something longed for to come to pass as long as it does not seem to take forever. However, when waiting for what we are anticipating becomes a long-drawn-out process, waiting gets stressful even consuming.Continue Reading…
HAVE FAITH IN GOD
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1(KJV) BY: Deacon Sean Provost
Sometimes when the troubles of life come, with our mouths we tell others “I’m trusting GOD” But with our hearts, we show GOD that we don’t trust HIM. Unfortunately, our declaration of faith was just lip service. We might be able to fool everyone else but we can’t fool GOD.Continue reading…
If God can do a miracle for a little butterfly, then surely your time of flight is coming soon. Hold on. Don’t give up. By:TruFiyah
As I sit here writing my second entry for The Encouragement Village, it occurs to me that by the title, many of you will think I’m some carefree, whimsical, Jesus-loving sista with a hippy/flower child flair, but the truth is, I’m anything but. Except for the Jesus-loving part. Continue Reading…
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE “Born Again?”
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. Deut.6:5 BY:Elder Ron Mosby
There is an account in the Bible where the Lord Jesus is speaking to Nicodemus, and the Lord Jesus makes this statement – “unless a man is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Strangely, the Lord Jesus doesn’t provide much of an explanation to his statement. Continue Reading…
WHEN CHANGE IS GOOD FOR US.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. (2 Corinthians 5:17) BY:C. J Greene
Change is very difficult, and if most of us are being honest, it is quite frightening. But one thing is for certain, change is inevitable, and to many of us, that is an uncomfortable feeling knowing things will change during time. Continue Reading….
TOUGH AS GERANIUMS
The road gets hard sometimes but keep your head to the sky. Remember, you may face hard times, but you’re as tough as geraniums! By:TruFiyah
It’s funny the pulpits the Lord will choose to preach His best sermons of encouragement on, even outside of the church, if we are open and receptive to His voice and leading. I’ve gotten deep and life-changing revelation in my garden, on nature walks and from a tiny, little butterfly who decided to make my front porch his dressing room. Continue reading…
IS ANYONE HOLDING ON TO HOPE?
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future –Jeremiah 29:11 BY: Pastor Geneva Miller
Hope – It’s a small 4 letter word that carries such great weight and significance. But because of all that is going on around us, sometimes we forget to look for it, and we forget we can bring hope into our world. Continue reading…
LIVING A PURPOSEFUL LIFE
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. – Jeremiah 29:11 BY:Kofi Bismarck
There is a purpose for every one of us here on this planet earth. Each one of us has a purpose of why he/she was created. There is a greater reason why we are here in this World, God has a purpose and plans for each and every one. Jeremiah 29:11 makes us understand that our future and purpose are in God’s plans. Continue reading…
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7) BY:C. J Greene
I believe in a world where we can get easily stressed over things that we can not control, it is very difficult to understand how to manage or even…. DEAL! I don’t know about too many other people, but I learned how to deal with stress from my parents. How they dealt with stress is the same way I found myself dealing with it. Continue Reading….
AVOIDING CONFLICT CAN CAUSE PROBLEMS
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” John 14:27 BY:Dr. Tony L. Warrick
We’ve all had those moments in life when pressures have mounted, problems have multiplied, stress is overwhelming, and our greatest impulse is to cut and run away! If you have ever felt like that in the past or fighting the urge in the present, please pay attention because I would like to touch the heart of the issue of wanting to “Abandon Ship.” Continue Reading….
WHAT IS THE KINGDOM?
“Unless a man is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” – John 3:3 BY:Elder Ron Mosby
Most people are taught that being born again is a religious experience, a moment of spiritual exhilaration achieved by deciding that they either believe in Jesus or have decided to make Him their Lord and Savior. In other words, being born again is their choice. But does that really make sense? Continue Reading…
A FRESH PERSPECTIVE
“Lord, if it is you, then tell me to come out to you on the water.” Matthew 14:29 BY:Pastor Vanessa McQueen
I’m at a place in my life, that even after 36 years of consistently walking with Christ, I find myself more hungry for His Presence than ever before. At a time when most individuals are okay with just hanging out, I am looking to get out of the boat, not for the miracle, but for the intimacy of experiencing Christ in a new place of faith. Continue Reading…
EVERYTHING GETS OLD BUT THE WORD OF GOD
“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away” (Matthew 24:35 KJV) By:Min. Frederick Dawson
There is nothing better than the feeling when you get something new. As a child, I recall going to the store with my parents, and while in the store, mom or dad would say, “Get you something.” Wow! What excitement I felt! It was a feeling that I cannot quite express. I was overwhelmed with such a high level of exultation. It did not matter how big or small my new possession would be. All that mattered is that it was new! Continue Reading..
THE LOVE OF CHRIST JESUS IN ACTION
“This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus.” – 1 John 4:17. BY: Pastor John McCurdy
Plain as it can be, there is nothing more important in life for the Christian to realize and walk in than the Love of God. Both of the two great commandments are all about Love.
Sounds so basic, doesn’t it. Except, too many Christians don’t realize it and it becomes a distant concept. Our revelation of it can be limited and it’s not in our experience near where it should be. I am not trying to make anyone feel bad. Continue Reading..
BELIEVING IN CHRIST JESUS REDEEMS OUR TIME
THE MAN AT THE POOL OF BETHESDA- John 5:1-15 . By:Kene Emmanuel
“Here a great number of disabled people used to lie- the blind, the lame, the paralyzed, One who has there been an invalid for thirty-eight years. When Christ Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, “Do you want to get well” ‘Sir’, the invalid replied. ‘I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me.’ Then Jesus said to him ‘Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.’ At once the man was cured: he picked his mat and walked….” JOHN 5:3-9 Continue Reading..
LEARNING TO WALT THROUGH TIGHT PLACES
LEARNING TO WALK THROUGH TIGHT SPACES – Matthew 7:13-14 BY:Pastor Geneva Miller
Included in all of the many teachings in the Sermon on the Mount is this one called The Narrow Gate. Jesus is very clear in two short verses that there is a way that is right and a way that is wrong, and as God offered to the children of Israel in Deuteronomy 30, Jesus is saying choose life, choose the right way, but you may go it alone. As parents there is a lesson we have to teach over and over again; everybody who surrounds you is not your friend. Everyone who has your ear does not have your back. Jesus, our Daddy teaches us this lesson as well. Continue Reading…
THE WORD IS WORKING MIGHTILY IN ME
The Word of God is the most important thing in the Christian’s life -(John 1:1; Rev. 19:13) BY:John McCurdy
That title is not this author speaking just towards himself. This author wants YOU to be saying and declaring this for yourself, for this to be your own personal experience. This can be your actual experience. It ought to be. It is God’s will and provision for you and me. The Word of God is the most important thing in the Christian’s life. It is the story of God and Man. It is the will of God revealed to us. It is God speaking to us. It is the means by which we obtain Faith, which is needed to carry out every single victory in the Christian life. Continue Reading….
3 WAYS MEANING IS IMPACTFUL TO OUR LIVES
“For Freedom Christ has Set us Free!” -Galatians 5:1 BY:C. J Greene
Meaning and sometimes clarity: Many times in our lives we are searching for something that will give us a sense of purpose and a reason to continue moving forward in this world. I think we overlook how important meaning and clarity is to our lives. Meaning is how we interpret what is happening to us, around us, in us, and in those that surround us. Meaning how we conclude and connect the dots, and figure out how it affects us on a deeper level than what has transpired on a surface level. 3 Way’s meaning is impactful to our lives.
