Please Pass By

As with any new blog title I do my research and go on a scripture treasure hunt and it is in those moments I often find those precious gems that captivate me. This week was no different when I ran across this verse of scripture that God says, “I will make all my Goodness pass before you.” (Exodus 33:19)

When I read that verse, I was blown away at what it must have been like for Moses to experience all the goodness of the Lord passing by. Even now my heart is expanding with the thought of it and makes me wonder about all of God’s goodness. All of it!

Of course, there’s no possible way for me to sum up all the goodness of Lord but here’s just a shortlist of His goodness. He is loving, kind, gracious, merciful, and has our best interests at heart. Nothing but good can come from Him He takes what the enemy meant for bad and turns it around for our good. When we call out to Him, we can expect an answer. He can rescue us from all our fears. (Psalm 34:5) His faithfulness lasts through all generations. (Psalm 100:5)

To experience all of the Lord’s goodness is it possible? It might seem hard to imagine especially if we haven’t asked and believed for it enough as if only those in the Bible had access to it. Let’s look at some more scriptures to steer us.

Psalm 34:8 O taste and see that the Lord is good

Psalm 27:13 I would of lost heart unless I believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

Psalm 33:5b the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord

Psalm 52:1b the goodness of God endures continually.

These scriptures should confirm to use that the Lord is not only good but His will is to lavish that goodness upon us. What an eye-opening revelation for anyone that assumes God is not on their side. Open your eyes and let the Lord pass by with all His goodness.
