Have you ever looked at a tapestry? If so you’ll see that all of the woven threads across the fabric are very intricate. Without that intricacy of detail, the picture wouldn’t be as beautiful. If we viewed our lives in this way we might get a different perspective of our ups and downs.
There’s a starting point to every chain of events that orchestrates varying moments in our lives. Finding that thread that ties everything together on our life’s journey is not always that simple. Hues change and blend into a tapestry of fabrics and stitches that interweave into our story. Shades of adversity and hope often set the stage for contrasts that mesh so tight we can’t distinguish what color will come up next.
But how do we maintain hope when adversity seems to be the dominant thread weaving around us? By knowing that God is our hope.
Psalm 42:11
Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation, and my God
1 Peter 5:10
And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
I know I’m speaking metaphorically about life’s circumstances but we all possess inside of us the ability to exceed and go beyond what our present is telling us. There is newness coming!
2 Corinthians 5:17-18
“17 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! 18 And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ.
We can grasp these scriptures every day and allow God’s Spirit inside us to provide guidance that intertwines victory on our paths. I pray that as you look at your fabric and the array of threads that weave your story, you will see all the stitches coming together even with their different hues and textures creating a tapestry full of God’s grace.

Needed this. So much is happening, and at times I feel so overwhelmed. Just have to keep my hope in the Lord, pray without ceasing, and stay in the word. So easy to say to this, but I do it on purpose because I know God is my only way. Thank you for this.
Yes staying in the Word of God is key! Sorry it took me so long to respond. Blessings to you!
