Mark 4:39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

He quieted the wind! What a place of authority that can speak into the life of the believer. The wind can certainly symbolize those places of trials and tribulation that seem to come out of nowhere to cause disruptions. The kind of authority Jesus displayed is what I often fail to possess when life’s circumstances visit me. How can I gain more of that confidence in my own life?

Jesus speaking to the wind seems like a unique event but there is a life lesson I can acquire. What I should be gaining from His example is the confidence He had in His ability to speak to an adverse situation. He spoke and the winds died down. Wind in and of itself is movement. Not quiet but blowing with full-on intensity trying to cause a commotion by instilling fear. Isn’t that what circumstances do? Yet Jesus quieted the wind and that shows that I can do the same thing when the winds of life blow. The key is I’m backed by Jesus just as Jesus was backed by God.

John 5:19 So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise.
His example of faith is the same example of faith that applies to me. The authority He demonstrated He also makes available to me.

1 John 2:6 Whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked
There is a more excellent way to apply to every circumstance I face and that is speaking with authority and confidence that only comes from the Father directly through Jesus who is the author and finisher of my faith. Those strong winds of adversity will be quieted!

Hebrews 1:3

3 And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

The above is one of my absolute favorite scriptures. I love how these scriptures highlight what nature Jesus possessed. He possessed the nature of God as His imprint. He’s stamped with God’s glory. He is the exact expression of His substance. As believers in Christ Jesus, this is magnificent for us because it means we are imprinted in His nature as well.

Before we get to how we are imprinted with His nature let’s look at how Jesus is imprinted with the nature of God. First and foremost is the fact that Jesus is God’s only begotten Son as stated in Matthew 1:23 Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us). Jesus was the Word of God sent to redeem us and that Word was God. Look at John1:1-3, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made. The whole fullness of deity dwelt in Jesus the very nature of God manifesting-love, wisdom, power, holiness just to name a few.

Now let’s look at how the Son has now passed God’s imprint onto those of us who believe. 2 Corinthians 5:17 gets us to our beginning point, Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. When we become followers of Christ Jesus, we are given a new nature what is that nature? Well as explained above it is the very nature of God through His son. We become filled with Him! All of His authority is now given to us so that we can represent Him and exemplify His glory as His kingdom ambassadors.

Colossians 2:10

And you have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority.

It’s quite humbling that Jesus imparted His nature into us and gives us an understanding of what that means as we go about kingdom living. Love is ours to spread, wisdom is ours to gain, power is ours to back His promises, and holiness is ours to live our lives following His example. His nature is the exact representation of God flooding us beyond measure.

I John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

I was taken aback the other day during a morning turkey hunt. The rain had persisted all night and into the early morning hours. It wasn’t until about 8:30 that the sun broke through the clouds.

It seemed every living thing had been waiting with anticipation for that hour. The rain had allowed the early risers to sleep in, but the sun sounded the alarm for all to get up. The sounds that morning were too numerous to describe. Each creature began its communication without waiting its turn. It sounded like one big cacophony without having any rhyme or reason. I didn’t notice that morning how each sound was different, but how closely each sounded like the other. Sometimes the cadences were different, but the pitch was nearly identical. And I wondered how each hearer was able to distinguish between its kind and another kind and even how each could tell the differences of their own kind.

Then I thought about God. I wonder how many folks bowed their head to pray this morning. People from Maine to Montana; from New Mexico to North Carolina; and from Connecticut to California. And I wonder how many in other countries did the same – all speaking to God, at the same time but in different languages.

I wonder how God sorts them all out. It really is amazing how God can not only hear all of us at the same time, but he does not miss one utterance of despair, one urgent cry for help, or one uplifted plea for direction. He is not only our God, but he is your God. He is not only our God but also my God. Just as I don’t understand how nature works in perfect order and design, I also don’t understand how God can make perfect order out of every single prayer that goes up. But I believe it by faith.

The Bible declares how a sparrow doesn’t fall to the ground without him noticing. When I remember that, I have no problem knowing that even though millions of prayers are knocking on the doors of heaven, God will distinguish each of us as his special and unique child and will be equally excited to hear from us and to give us his very best.

Putting God first is realizing it’s all about Him. Everything in our lives is to be directed to Him, His kingdom, and His glory.

Proverbs 3:6 affirms it, “In everything you do, Put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success.”

Your every breath is to go back to Him. Your every thought is to be for Him. Everything is about Him(God). Is every thought of yours for His glory? Is everything you watch, listen, and talk about for His glory?

I Corinthians 10:31 Puts it this way; “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”

The secret of a fulfilling Christian life is giving God the first part of our day, the first priority to every decision, and the first place in our heart.”

Placing God first in our daily lives should be the main focus and pursuit. It should be our topmost priority.

Put God first, and you will never be last. I believe this write-up will help you do just that.

That certainly wasn’t a term I thought of when I used to consider how Jesus viewed me. I was letting my circumstances provide other words like rejected, unloved, and forgotten just to name a few. I didn’t think God cared for me I thought He enjoyed seeing me suffer. I mean I was in immense physical pain for months with little to no relief so to me it appeared God wasn’t quite so loving and certainly wasn’t thinking of me as beloved.

Even the word beloved never crossed my mind until many years later when someone who was encouraging me said I was beloved to God. I had to think about that for a moment because although I’ve come a long way in my relationship with the Lord and His love for me it still seemed more mechanical in my mind. More like He was obliged to love me as a regretful chore versus a desired choice. What changed my mind? I had to renew my mind in what the Word of God says about His love for me. Here’s a short list:

John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Romans 5:8, But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

1 John 4:16, So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.

Jeremiah 31:3, The Lord appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.

Zephaniah 3:17 , The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.

Ephesians 3:17-19, So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

1 John 4:10, In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Psalm 86:15, But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.

Ephesians 2:4-5, But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—

These scriptures show not only how beloved I am but apply to you as well. We are dear to God’s heart and very loved by Him. Therefore we can live our lives as those beloved by God.

1 Cor. 13:2

And if I have the gift of prophecy [and speak a new message from God to the people], and understand all mysteries, and [possess] all knowledge; and if I have all [sufficient] faith so that I can remove mountains, but do not have love [reaching out to others], I am nothing.

I remember having this debate with an Atheist one day, and his response to my efforts in trying to convert him was that there is no meaning in life. We are all just wondering in space. It was one of those moments that I wasn’t really prepared for. I wasn’t ready to evangelize an individual who did not believe in the possibility we are all destined by God to do something in this world.

Hearing his response, we are all just floating through space as mere spectacles of stardust were beyond morbid. It was hopeless! And when I looked at him, it sent shivers through my soul because I knew he wasn’t the only person in this world that thought like this.

One of the issues I had with my evangelizing method was not reaching the core of people’s problems and issues but just trying to shove a gospel script down their throats and convincing them somehow they are “saved” by repeating “My Words.”

The issue with my style was that it was extremely inauthentic. It lacked genuineness. It lacked the human factor where I was concerned about the person as a human being. I was concerned about their existence in the next world but wasn’t empathetic to the concerns they were presently facing. And that is just messy evangelism!

The lack of connectivity with other human beings made my evangelism close to being sociopathic. Was I really concerned about non-believer’s souls, or did I prejudge them and qualified them for hell? And thus, I needed to intervene with all of my “Christian powers” and “self-righteousness” and try to save them from a terrible eternal death?

I don’t use the word sociopathic lightly. And by no means am I covertly suggesting that other people who may evangelize the way I did are sociopathic as well. This is just a very genuine self-reflection of my personal experiences and how I viewed myself doing this.

Well, let me at least define sociopathic and what I mean by it. It is the lack of regard for other people’s feelings and emotions. Using wit and charm to manipulate people for personal gain.

What I mean by my style of evangelism as sociopathic may not fit the full definition of what a true sociopath is, but rather? Absolutely! And here is why:

Evangelism is meant to spread the good news of Jesus Christ, but what I was doing was trying to get people saved. Spending 120 seconds with an individual and getting them to repeat words thinking they will be saved for the rest of their eternal lives, was my own delusion.

There are legitimate questions and concerns about Christianity that I never addressed, even on the simplest of foundations. And the most basic foundational questions are: Why do we exist, and what do we exist for?

One of my exploits in evangelism had me out in the middle of the night praying for people. I remember one homeless person said something compelling, “People don’t need you praying for them all of the time. They need you to feed them.” I had it in my mind that I was feeding the homeless on certain nights and praying for them on other nights and boy was that completely wrong.

It wasn’t until this point that I realized it is hard to hear a prayer about salvation when you haven’t had a decent meal in three days. And why do I have to control when they are fed and when they are prayed for?

It’s like having an agenda to getting people saved is the most erroneous thing you can ever do. And I have seen this in other Christian circles. I wanted people to get saved based on my techniques, strategies, and blueprints that were used in the past. Never considering the people we are encountering are human souls that exist; they are just people who are lost that need to me to convince them of Jesus Christ.

You know people don’t need you to convince them of Jesus Christ. Spreading the Gospel is not a pitch. You are not selling the Gospel. You are sharing it. And you are connecting and building relationships with people who have eternal existence and natural existence.

With that existence comes their pain, struggles, misunderstandings, and their hunger (both spiritually and physically).

It was that night I truly understood what it meant to be comfortable in a personal Christianity that only served your needs and forgot about everyone else. Even the attempt at doing something “good” was still selfish and ego-centric.

The inhumanity comes when you are trying to fulfill “your calling” and gain favor with God at the expense of using people to do it. Using every person as an opportunity to prove to yourself or to others that you are somehow “anointed” or “special”.

In every instance of Jesus serving those who needed his help, He was touched by their humanity. He connected with all that it was meant to be human and yet was still God enough to pull them through. That’s love.

What is it about certain parts of our Christian walk where we are not human enough to connect with the pain of others? What is it about ourselves where we do not wish to tread the unbearable places in other people’s souls and walk them through hardships with no benefits or rewards in the end?

What if our Christianity was not to be less human but to be more human? Not carnal where we serve a nature that constantly wants to sin, but rather, to be more human and connect with others for the benefit of the Kingdom of God!

What does it mean to be human and to be Christian? How do we exist with both of those mental frameworks?

They are not dichotomous. They do not conflict with each other. Yet we must learn how they coexist without compromising the values they both hold true. The effort and raw honesty that was put into this blog is not to bring a valuable solution but hopefully/prayerfully start a conversation. How can we be human enough to connect with people and guide them along their journey as Christ would do? How can we lose the inhumanity in “self-righteousness” and truly lead people to Christ? How can we show more care to those who are hurting and sit there with them and help them through it?

I hope we can find an answer for the sake of those who are hurting in the world that needs us!

Until next time my friend!

Pleasing God is, or should be, the goal of all believers—all who call upon the name of Christ for salvation. The requirements for all who want to please God are that they must seek God by faith, walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh, and walk worthy of our calling in obedience and submission to the will of God. These things may seem impossible to do, but God wants us to please Him, and He makes it possible for us to please Him. We do these things by the power of His Spirit who lives in our hearts.

Paul reminds believers that “they who are in the flesh cannot please God” [cf. Romans 8:8]. So the first step in pleasing God is to accept the sacrifice for sin that He provided in the death of Jesus Christ on the cross. Only then are we “in the Spirit” and not in the flesh. We do this by faith because without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. [cf. Hebrews 11:6]

According to Romans 8, Paul explains the difference between the sinful nature and the nature of those regenerated by the Spirit. Those who are still in their sin have their minds set on sinful desires, whereas the ones regenerated by Christ have a completely new mind that is controlled by the Spirit and desire to live in accordance with Him. “The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so” (Romans 8:6-7). So the first step for believers in pleasing God is to be sure we are walking in the Spirit, not in the flesh.

Furthermore, we must live by faith [cf. Hebrews 10:38]. God cannot be pleased with those who hold back from Him because they have no confidence in Him or they doubt the truth of His declarations and promises, or who do not believe that His ways are right and holy and perfect. The requirement of faith and confidence in God is not unreasonable; it is just what we require of our children and spouses, and it is an indispensable condition of our being pleased with them. So it is with God.

Therefore, pleasing God is a matter of living according to His precepts, commandments, and doing so in love. We always want to please those we love, and the New Testament is full of exhortations to righteous living and loving Christ by obeying His commandments. Jesus made this very plain: “If you love me, you will obey what I command” [cf. John 14:15]

It is easier to serve and be good when people are watching. However, God’s Word makes it clear that faithfulness is required when I am alone as well. “Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him.” [cf. 2 Corinthians 5:9]

Endeavor to please only God! May God help us all as we seek to please Him continually. Yours In Christ, Shalom.

Many times, in my blogs I mention finding gems in God’s Word as I study different areas. Those gems are truly treasures which save, sustain, and cultivate me. Those treasures I store in my heart because they are priceless. Let’s talk about why you should store them as well.

His Word never returns void.
We can count on the Word of God to accomplish His purpose. His word always succeeds.

Isaiah 55:10-11

“For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.

His Word is built upon the solid foundation of Jesus
The word of God became flesh and dwelled among us. In Him is life! He’s our light, hope, and salvation. He is the cornerstone that keeps everything together by the power of His word. He is our solid unmovable foundation.

Matthew 7:24

“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

John 1:14

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

John 1:1-51

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

Colossians 3:16

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

John 8:31-32

So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

His Word stands forever
God’s Word stands beyond time. Applying that revelation to our lives means the words He speaks over us are not subject to our circumstances. They will stand beyond adversity.

Isaiah 40:8

The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.

His Word is upright and true

The word of God is done in faithfulness towards His people. There is no dishonesty in His will towards us. He’s our refuge, who will never kick us out of His care.

Psalm 33:4

For the word of the Lord is upright, and all his work is done in faithfulness.

Psalm 18:30

This God—his way is perfect; the word of the Lord proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him.

His Word gives way to blessings

His Word, if we obey it opens the door for us to be blessed in every aspect of our lives.

Luke 11:28

But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”

Deut 28:1-5

And if you faithfully obey the voice of the Lord your God, being careful too all his commandments that I command you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you obey the voice of the Lord your God. Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your cattle, the increase of your herds and the young of your flock. Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl

John 5:24

Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.

Deuteronomy 11:18-21

“You shall therefore lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul, and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall teach them to your children, talking of them when you are sitting in your house, and when you are walking by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates, that your days and the days of your children may be multiplied in the land that the Lord swore to your fathers to give them, as long as the heavens are above the earth.

His Word feeds us

Feeding on the Word of God every day nourishes our Spirit.

Deuteronomy 8:3

And he humbled you and let you hunger and fed you with manna, which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that he might make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.

His Word Teaches

The word of God teaches us in the ways to walk as ambassadors for Christ and His Kingdom. He equips us for every good work that represents His life in us.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.

Hebrews 4:12

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

1 Thessalonians 2:13

And we also thank God constantly for this, that when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men but as what it really is, the word of God, which is at work in you believers.

As you can see there’s treasure upon treasure spilling from His Word. Now is the perfect time for you to go on a treasure hunt in God’s Word and find more amazing gems.

“Fear not because I have overcome the world” ~Jesus

One of the hardest things during times of uncertainty is learning how not to be afraid. It’s easier to let your mind wander and envision hypothetical disastrous situations. It is easier to be afraid than to not be afraid. I know all too well the chains of imprisonment that entangles the life of a believer, especially when FEAR is the warden of the prison.

The anxiety that keeps you limited and stuck in one place.

The paralysis you encounter from overthinking the “what IFs.”

The constant doubt that leaves you shaky from moving towards freedom.

The physical reactions of when your heart palpitates, the tightening of the chest, and the racing thoughts.

Fear is no easy companion to live with, and anxiety is even worse with cohabitation. Although working through the issues of life and all the external factors that trigger fear, one thing is for sure… fear doesn’t have to control you.

I wish someone would have told me that before the pandemic, or maybe they did, and I wasn’t listening. But after a lot of time in prayer, I realized Jesus overcame the world so that we will have nothing to fear.

Uncertainty is uncomfortable, and instability is a nightmare. When we are uncertain about what will happen tomorrow, here comes the fear. Rolling like a boulder falling down a rocky mountainside. The emotional instability that follows is what makes matters worse. Not being able to handle uncertainty is where anxiety comes from.

How do you control yourself from becoming emotionally unstable when your job is laying people off and you do not know how you will support your family?

How do you control your emotions when one of your family members is on a ventilator and their body organs shut down and don’t have too much time left on this earth?

How do you hold it together when you have 4 kids and all you have left to survive is a stimulus check to pay rent but not pay for food?

The reality of life sometimes is interrupted. And hard truths often are drowned out by our anxiety, fears, and fantasies of what we wish would happen instead of what is happening.

I believe in the midst of uncertain times, the silver lining always hid in the scriptures. There is no other place where you can find such profound proverbial insight that leads to better perspectives on negative situations. During times of uncertainty, the best practices to eliminate fear and anxiety are a better perspective. And Here’s a way to change your perspective:

1 Peter 5:7

Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you!

There is nothing like knowing God cares for you. What makes this scripture very interesting is that it is consistent with what God has been saying all throughout the Bible: HE LOVES & CARES ABOUT US!

I don’t know about you, but that takes a huge load off of my chest knowing that God cares about me. Knowing that He not only cares about who I am, about how I am feeling, about what I am feeling, but He cares enough to take care of me. I think in these chaotic times we become unhinged and unstable because we are always trying to figure things out for ourselves. If fact, I think we sometimes believe society has us in a place where we believe that the only person that will truly take care of you is YOURSELF.

In my humble opinion, I think this is where a lot of anxiety comes from. The fear of not knowing if we can take care of ourselves if something bad happens.

The unfamiliar territory of making a mistake in the future that will cost us everything. The unfamiliar territory of living your life without someone you are so accustomed of having around all of the time.

But in reality, this scripture really breaks it down for us. Casting all of our anxiety isn’t just casting our feelings onto Jesus, but rather everything that is the source of our anxiety.

It is literally placing those things that stress us out and saying, “Jesus take the wheel”.

Let me be real. Sometimes the only prayer I have on my lips is “Jesus please fix it” lol

That word CAST really means to throw in the Hebrew language. And I would imagine it is not a polite throw like when you are throwing your keys downstairs to someone who has to open up your car to get your pocketbook that you left in there.

No.

I think it is more like a violent throw. Like when you come home from work and you’ve been holding yourself to use the bathroom. When you finally get inside, you throw your coat and your shoes all over the place. Yeah, I think it’s more like that.

I think this scripture really reflects on our inability to hold onto something we can no longer control and then violently throwing everything off onto Jesus, who can absorb it and fix it.

What makes holding onto anxiety so crucial is the fact that it is our pride that makes us hold onto it. We want to fix our anxiety, and we want to fix our problems ourselves. And to be quite frank, I think the quicker we can acknowledge, we can not do everything alone, the easier it will be to get rid of all the stress and the things that make us anxious. So do yourself a favor, take an inventory of all the things you are holding onto that you want to be in control of and you want to fix… and throw it on Jesus!

The fruit of the spirit should be an attribute of every Believer. It’s Inherently becoming more like Christ Jesus. Spiritual fruit will show itself in our lives as Believers, this will reflect in our character, attitude, and outlook. As we spend more time with God asking the Holy spirit to direct and teach us, we become more like Jesus. Same way as we continue to read, study, and meditate on the scriptures we cultivate the mind of Christ Jesus.

In the book of Galatians the fruit of the spirit has been succinctly stated, it tells we Believers how significant it is to bear such fruit. [cf. Galatians 5:22-23]

The scripture gives an excellent description of life characterized by the fruit of the spirit, As Christ followers, We need to ask ourselves this question, is our life characterized by the fruit of the spirit? Do we love our neighbors? Are we faithful to one another? Are we patient with one another and ourselves? The Scriptures makes us understand that, without these things either we don’t know Christ Jesus or we are living outside of the fellowship with Him. God isn’t asking as for a perfect life. He’s asking that these fruit should be the primary characteristics of a every Believer.

“The fruit of the spirit is a Spiritual virtue produced by the Holy Spirit which manifests in every Believer’s life.”

The more completely a Believer is filled with the Holy spirit, the greater the manifestation of the fruit of the spirit in the Believers life. The fruit of the spirit is produced automatically when we’re yielding to the Holy spirit and walking in obedience to Him. Walking by the spirit is keeping ourself constantly filled, as we yield moment by moment to the leading of the spirit, thereby bearing spiritual fruit to the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Yours In Christ, Shalom.

Uprightness brings to mind the notions of unchanging standards, correctness, genuineness, and forthrightness.
